Groove Mind Tutor Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern a parent's or guardian's use of Groove Mind Tutor, operated by Make It Work Solutions, including the parent web app, Discord-based tutoring experience, onboarding, billing, and support channels.

1. Who may use the service

Groove Mind Tutor is intended for parents or legal guardians who create and manage learning access for their own children. By creating an account, you confirm that:

• you are the parent or legal guardian of each child you add;
• you have authority to consent to the child's use of Groove Mind Tutor;
• the account details you provide are accurate and kept up to date; and
• you will supervise your child's use of Discord and any connected learning tools.

2. Educational support, not professional advice

Groove Mind Tutor provides AI-assisted tutoring and study support for IGCSE and international-school learners. It does not replace a qualified teacher, school, examiner, counsellor, medical professional, legal professional, or other regulated adviser. Parents remain responsible for checking important academic, health, safety, legal, or financial decisions with an appropriate professional.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use Groove Mind Tutor to:

• break Discord's rules or any applicable law;
• harass, abuse, exploit, or endanger another person;
• upload illegal, harmful, private, or highly sensitive material that is not needed for tutoring;
• attempt to access another family's account, channels, data, or Discord space;
• reverse engineer, overload, scrape, or interfere with the service; or
• use AI outputs as guaranteed examination answers or official marking decisions.

4. Parent account and child access

Parents are responsible for account security, student setup, billing, and Discord access. Each child must use only the Discord account or access route configured for that child. Groove Mind Tutor may suspend or remove access where account safety, non-payment, misuse, or child-safety concerns require it.

5. Billing and subscriptions

Pilot pricing, plans, included children, payment timing, and cancellation options are shown during signup or in the parent dashboard. Each plan includes a monthly fair-use limit on AI tutoring usage, shown during signup or in the parent dashboard. Once a plan reaches its monthly limit, AI tutoring pauses for the remainder of that billing cycle unless additional usage is purchased; access resumes at the start of the next cycle. Tutor access may also be limited, suspended, or cancelled if payment is overdue, disputed, reversed, or cancelled. Unless a separate written refund policy applies, fees already paid are not automatically refundable for partial billing periods.

6. AI limitations

AI tutoring can make mistakes, omit context, or produce explanations that need review. Parents and students should verify important answers, especially before submitting schoolwork or relying on exam preparation guidance. Groove Mind Tutor may review prompts, outputs, and service metadata as described in the Privacy Policy to improve safety, reliability, and support.

7. Intellectual property

Groove Mind Tutor and its software, prompts, designs, documentation, and branding remain the property of Make It Work Solutions or its licensors. Families keep ownership of their own submitted content, subject to the permissions needed for Groove Mind Tutor to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

8. Third-party services

Groove Mind Tutor may rely on third-party services such as Discord, hosting providers, AI model providers, email providers, analytics, payment processors, and support tools. Those services may have their own terms and privacy notices. Groove Mind Tutor is not responsible for third-party platforms outside its control.

9. Changes to the service or terms

Groove Mind Tutor may update features, pricing, policies, or these terms. Material changes will be communicated through a reasonable channel such as the parent dashboard, email, or a linked policy page. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using Groove Mind Tutor or request account closure at any time. Groove Mind Tutor may suspend or terminate access for misuse, safety concerns, non-payment, legal requirements, or material breach of these terms. Data retention after closure is described in the Privacy Policy.
